Equipment Pick Up

Starting August 5th, 2024, equipment can be picked up at the XF Rec office during office hours.

Directions: From 124th, turn onto 128th where the Les Schwab Tire Center is located.  Go all the way to the end of that road before it curves and we are the last building on the right hand side.  There is a label of Building "A" on the outside and a red "XF" on the front door.

Volunteer Parent Referee Rec Clinics (Not Certified)

We will provide a beginner referee course to help train parents for the upcoming Fall soccer season.  U8 and U9 teams use parent volunteers for referees, U10+ team may need a parent referee if a certified referee is unavailable to cover your game.

The first 30 minutes will be in the classroom and then 45 minutes on the field.

Volunteer Clearance Requirements

The compliance requirements outlined in the word doc link below are required by either State or Federal law to be completed prior to volunteer participation.  Without completion, LWYSA cannot allow you to participate.  

All volunteers 18 years and older need to complete the SafeSport/RMA training on an annual basis to maintain your certification.

Background Checks are FREE through the LWYSA website.  Please make sure to do your background check on this website, not on the US Learning Center website.

WYS has also created a pdf guideline with screenshots on how to complete the required courses to obtain a coach clearance, do not go past page 8 on pdf.  Background checks are now processed through the LWYSA website during the volunteer registration process.  (You do not need to create a separate Affinity account).

Fall Practice Fields

The XF Rec program uses an online practice field reservation system.  Teams can reserve 2 hours of practice each week.   Practices can start on or after August 1.  Coaches can choose the days, times and location from a list of fields in the system for their area.  We do require that coaches hold 4 practices before the fall season games begin in September.

League Washington

The U13 to U19 XF Rec teams will play fall games in League Washington, which is run by Washington Youth Soccer.  All game schedules, photo rosters, rules, etc will be found on their website.

General Information

EQUIPMENT:

We will provide each coach with pinnies, cones, a whistle, soccer balls, and a mesh bag for the season.  

TEAM ROSTERS:

All coaches can view their team rosters in the MOJO App once teams are finalized and published.  You can also view your roster on your Team Page on the LWYSA website.  Only paid, registered players will be on your roster and only rostered players can play in games.  

TEAM COMMUNICATION:

Once rosters have been released, you will be able to communicate with parents of players through the MOJO App chat feature OR through email on the Team Page of the LWYSA website.  We recommend sending a welcome email or chat out to everyone on your roster prior to practices beginning in August.

PLAYER MEDICAL INFO:

Please instruct the parent/guardian to print the medical form below and have the player turn it in to you at the first practice.  Coaches are required to have all player medical release forms with them at every practice and game in case of a medical emergency.

WEATHER: 

Heat and AQI (wildfire smoke)--There are guidelines set by US Youth Soccer that we follow for excessive heat and high AQI (150 or greater).  In most instances, we will send emails out by 2pm on weekdays or 8am on weekends if we need to cancel practices or games.

Lightning-If you experience lightning, stop all activities, however unpopular the decision may be, and seek safe shelter.  Remain there for at least 30 minutes after the last witness of lightning/thunder.  Most likely, this will end the training session or match due to the waiting period.
